Seafoam offers a curated selection of the best women-powered
surf wear brands from across the world.
How did it start?
Seafoam® launched in September 2015 with just 3 surf bikini brands, solely funded by personal savings. The idea of Seafoam grew from the trouble of finding bikinis and surf wear that would stay on while hitting the waves.
Up until a few years ago, it was nearly impossible to find surf bikinis and leggings in Europe. Across the pond however, small labels had developed from this niche. I decided it was time to bring these to closer shores. Making them more accessible to European ocean women. With the continued support of these awesome water lovers, Seafoam has been able to expand the range of surf wear. We now serve water women across the world with an international range of independent surf labels.
Who am I?Hi! My name is Stien and I am the founder of Seafoam. I grew up in Belgium and have been passionate about board sports ever since learning to windsurf at 14.
From windsurfing to kitesurfing, winters spent snowboarding and eventually settling down by the Welsh coast in Pembrokeshire and spending as many days surfing as possible. I now run Seafoam from home, next to my day job.
It is a project fuelled by my love for the ocean.
Who are you?
Ocean-loving, active, strong, empowered. Do you identify yourself with one or more of these attributes? Whether you surf, kitesurf, SUP, cold water swim, windsurf or simply love spending time in or around the water doing what you love. You’re looking for swimwear you can rely on to keep you covered through the heaviest waves and biggest slams, irrespective of how much coverage you prefer. You’re in the right place!
Seafoam aims to offer sustainably produced surf bikinis, leggings and suits for all sizes and shapes. Surf wear thoughtfully designed by ocean-loving women, tested and developed for all who want to spend their time in the water without having to worry about wardrobe malfunctions.
Seafoam is dedicated to protecting our ocean, which we all love so much. While a big part of our pieces is already made with recycled materials (eco collection), we aim to stock solely eco-friendly materials by 2020. Since launching, we have made more eco-friendly choices in our packaging and shipping. Where possible Seafoam offers a pre-order system (find out why here). Seafoam is committed to continue improving its environmental impact as it grows.
